Activities responsibilities include:

  • Provide a customer friendly atmosphere.

  • All activity areas throughout the park kept clean daily (clear of trash, papers, cigarette butts, weeds, etc., pickup ed and raked as needed, including playground, horseshoe pit, sand volleyball, mini golf, basketball court gem mining, shuffleboard, and any other areas as directed by management.
  • Ensure that all guests have a positive and entertaining experience during their stay.
  • Must be able to create and maintain the illusion that Yogi Bear™ and friends are “real”
  • Getting the maximum number of campers to participate in activities
  • Keep “Activities Attic” clean and organized.
  • Bears care.
  • Assist guests with injuries/report to Management.
  • Fill out appropriate documentation for guest injuries/report to Management.
  • General campground cleanup.
  • Complete checklist/documentation forms daily.
  • Assist/complete jobs assigned by Activities Director and Managers.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift/move 50 pounds
  • Able to climb, handle being exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Able to handle wearing a mascot costume for at least 30-60 minutes at a time.
  • Able to stand, walk, run, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl on hands and knees.
  • Able to use all chemical / cleaning supplies.

Responsible for the cleaning of all lodging and rental units.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. consistently throughout shift
  • Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing/pulling and kneeling while cleaning

  • Pay keen attention to detail
  • Previous housekeeping / cleaning experience preferred
  • Must be flexible in hours and days worked (weekends required during the summer)

  • Clear and wipe down tables (shoppe and community center) promptly.

  • Take care of trash.
  • Up sell souvenir items.
  • Clean / sweep deck / porch area and steps.
  • Sweep / keep Community Center near and orderly.
  • General campground cleanup.
  • Coordinate themed meals / specials with Managerial Staff.
  • Use appropriate safety food service materials.
  • Assist / complete all jobs assigned by Management.

Maintenance Workers ensure the campground is kept clean and well maintained.  A successful candidate would be flexible, willing to help out wherever needed, comfortable working outside in extreme heat or cold weather conditions and committed to delivering the highest level of customer service.  Other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to work physically hard and able to deal with constant bending and lifting
  • Must ensure a clean and pleasant atmosphere of the campground by removing trash and debris, cleaning all public areas.  This includes, but is not limited to: the parking lot, campground, campground store, laundry and restrooms.
  • Clean all tent sites, RV spaces and surround areas, removing any trash or debris
  • Handle recycling needs
  • Must have an eye for detail and presentation to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness
  • Check tent sites and RV spaces prior to guest arrival
  • Read and record sewer boxes and electrical and RV space meter readings
  • Fully utilize all safety equipment, ensuring proper lifting, bending and carrying techniques are adhered to
  • Understand all machinery and chemicals used
  • Be aware of MSDS sheets and books and read and use this information when necessary
  • Identify maintenance, cleanliness and safety issues
  • Must be honest, dependable and forthright, with the ability to confidently work without direct supervision
  • Maintain a positive attitude, always be willing to lend a helping wherever necessary
  • Go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations
  • Diplomatically handle guest complaints, always be polite and maintain a professional manner

Requirements:

  • Must be over 18 years of age to operate machinery
  • Must have reliable transportation, and a valid Drivers License
  • All staff must be able to pass Background Check and Drug Screening

The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.   • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the local area in order to provide guests with information about location, cost and hours of operation of local services, facilities and points of interest
  • Resolves guest complaints and problems, referring them to management, as needed
  • Is familiar with park emergency procedures, and provides calm, reassuring assistance to guests and fellow associates in the event of an emergency
  • Monitors cleanliness and appearance of front desk and store area, reports deficiencies to management
  • Performs any additional duties as requested by management
  • Understands and adheres to safety and environmental standards set by the park
  • Previous reservation experience preferred
  • Able to follow detailed work lists
